Getting to know the new Pocketmath

After the overwhelming response from our last UI update (“You like us! You really like us!”), which set a pretty high benchmark, it wasn’t easy to turn around and freshen things up. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? Well, your car doesn’t need to be broken before you give it a good tune-up, and that’s what we’ve done. The new changes here at Pocketmath range from adding some cool engineering functionality, to refreshing the look and feel look and feel, to rearranging a few tabs for easier navigation. We know you’re eager to know the full details—and we really want to tell you—so here are the highlight of a few changes—changes that might help you to quickly get hooked on our new UI.

We have changed some things…

The moment you log in, you will notice a refreshing look and feel of the platform. The color palette for the platform has shifted to cooler shades of blue, which are as smooth as butter on hot bread. The font is now more readable—clear and crisp. And for better navigation, we have grouped the items in the left pane into proper sections.

So far, the changes are pretty obvious. But here are some changes that you might not notice so easily.

Distribution Charts

We’ve moved the pie charts that reflect the performance of various ad exchanges and OSs for the given order to a new tab called Distribution Charts. You can find this new tab right below the Lifetime Overview section. Picture2

Date range selection

We really want you to check this out! In the current UI, you can select the date range for viewing the performance of the campaign or order. You will still be able to do so in the new UI…but you will also be able to choose from a range of quick-pick options. The date-range selection option, is found just below the Lifetime Overview section on the right side of the screen. Picture3

Audiences list

You might notice that the Audiences list is not available in the menu pane anymore. Where did it go? To its logical location: with all of the other lists. Just click Lists in the menu on the left side of the screen, and you’ll find the Audiences list alongside the Publisher, GPS, and Postal Code lists. Picture4

Developer Tools

We’ve collected all of the tools and reference materials available for Pocketmath (such as the API reference and ad macros) and relocated them into a Developer Tools section. Also, you’ll be able to hook up with our API support group—which actively addresses your API-related questions and concerns. Where to find the Developer Tools? Just look in the Support section of the menu on the left side of the screen. Picture5

Bulk upload of creatives

We hear and we obey! You can now upload multiple banner creatives for the same campaign—all at once. As long as the TLD and the campaign category is same, you will be able to upload multiple creatives:

  1.     Click the Creative section of the menu on the left side of the screen, and then click New Creative.
  2.     In Primary section, click Upload multiple creatives.

  3.     Select the appropriate ad categories in the Add Categories section.
  4.     Fill in the landing page information.
  5.     Upload the banner creatives and choose the appropriate sizes. (The system accepts creatives only in     JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF formats.)
  6.     When you’re done, be sure to click Submit.

One-click budget modification

To provide you with greater flexible and faster reaction times, you will be able to change your campaign/order budget on the fly. When the budget for the campaign/order gets too low, a triangle icon will appear. Picture7 Click this icon, and a pop-up will appear that will let you update the budget amount to an amount higher than what you’ve already spent. Click Apply, and the budget for the campaign/order is updated. max out budget This brings us to the end of the short introduction to the new UI. We know change is tough. But we do feel that this change will make your work much easier—so much so that in a few months, you’ll hardly be able to imagine a Pocketmath that didn’t allow you to bulk-upload banner ads.
